Killing a Modern Day Dinosaur
Change is life, no change - you're history or toast as some would put it. One thing has really impressed me in my 27 years full time in this networking business is that change is inevitable and that we must embrace change or be left behind. My friends and associates in the companies I was involved with in the early 90s would or could not immediately see where I was going. After years of running a 'mail order' type MLM business, the first 'tech fad' I tried hard to bring to my associates was the use of a Fax Machine. They called it a 'fad' and only about half of them ended up using a fax machine for recruiting. Looking back, it was what we now call 'spam' in it's worst form, causing more trouble than modern day spam, because it used THEIR paper, Soon we had special lists of people with fax machines who would accept ONE PAGE faxes. The same people that followed my lead and bought fax machines were again still hesitant when I told them we had to get on line and use websites and email. The same thing happened again, I lost about 50% of my original associates who just would not buy a computer.I was in at the beginning of Paypal and eBay but they were not changes but just another way of using computer technology. I was also one of the first with an account at eGold and saw many similar processors come and go. The PayPal originator was a true revolutionary, ending up selling it to eBay for big bucks then, probably peanuts by comparison with the purchase of MySpace and YouTube. The latest major change is of course Web 2.0 that includes sites like YouTube and MySpace. This is the very latest CHANGE spearheaded by people much younger than I. This is where the 'rubber hits the road' With the outstanding success of THE SECRET People were floundering about putting the Law of Attraction into action Social Networking as in YouTube and MySpace IS ... that MISSING LINK New 'Web 2.0' SN sites are appearing almost daily. I'm putting together a list or directory of Web 2.0 sites (come back soon) |
